Hi all,
It has been a long time since I have written on this site.
A quick background history will help with my story.
About 18 months ago my daughter Carly then 20 was diagnosed with ALL.
It was a very scary time for all involved especially her. I found this site one day and it really helped me to understand not only the disease but also the journey we where about to embark on.I remember some days just pouring my heart out on this site and the support, encouragement and knowledge I recieved was what got me through this horrible ordeal.
Caly had a BMT on the 16th Feb 09, her brother was found to be a perfect match. At the time we thought that this was just standard, we have since learned how very lucky she has been to have such a match.
I would like to report that Carly is on the road to recovery, she hase just turned 22 and is powering on with her life.
I have watched her grow into the most amazing young women. Carly is now one of the most positive, passionate and logical young people I have ever met.
While going through this ordeal was extremely diffuclt for her the outcome is amazing and even she has commented on all she has learnt.
I am writing this in the hope that it can help young ones going through this horrible time that there is a rainbow on the other side.
I use to tell Carly this while she was going through Chemo and she would just look at me like I was an idiot, and

swear at me sometimes.
To the parents, as hard as it is try to stay positive, yell sometimes if you need to, cry, kick, scream whatever helps release the unbelivable hugh black hole in the pit of your stomach.
There is always hope and my daughter is proof that we can move forward from this most horrible disease.
Good luck to you all out there and if there is ANYTHING Carly or myself can do to help any of you please write to let us know.
PS. Carly is now looking into working with young ones with cancer any suggestions would be great.
Yours most sincerly
Jojo
