Hi all, I am posting to ask for your help......
My name is Lesley Halliday. I am an associate lecturer and doctoral researcher in the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery at the University of Sydney.
I am interested in learning more about fertility and motherhood in females who have been treated for any type of haematological malignancy as it has become apparent that information, services and management are often lacking in this important aspect of care.
I am seeking women who are: aged 25-39 years; have been diagnosed with any type of haematological cancer within the past 10 years, and are at least 1 year post diagnosis; and currently live in Australia and are fluent English speakers.
I would like to talk to you (at a time and location convenient for you) about your cancer experience, in particular in relation to your knowledge, thoughts and feelings about fertility or motherhood.
This research has recieved ethics approval from the Human Research Ethics Committee at the University of Sydney, and is being supervised by Associate Professor Maureen Boughton, a registered nurse and midwife and women's health researcher, and Associate Professor Ian Kerridge, a haematologist from Westmead Hospital.
If you would like to know more, or wish to participate, please contact me, in confidence, on 02 9351 0618 or email
