Our next Ask the Expert chat session will be on Friday August 28 from 3pm to 4pm. Our Expert this time will be Aaron Thompson whose area of expertise is fertility preservation...
Aaron Thompson is a specialist adolescent and young adult cancer nurse who recently undertook an extensive project on behalf of the Queensland Paediatric Haematology Oncology Network into the fertility preservation of adolescent and young adults with cancer.
During the project, Aaron looked at current evidence on fertility preservation as well as international survivorship data; he developed resources to educate clinicians working with this age group to assist in improving their knowledge and practice; and age appropriate education resources for adolescent and young adult patients to understand the preservation methods.
